You have to turn the ignition key on in order to start the engine!
Been there too, tried with another coilpack and it wouldnt fire at all, tried alittle more, and it fired and went very uneven. It have to be the coilpacks you are using. maybe try changing the sparkplugs, that is what i did, and then it went like a rocket again.
If an OEM coil pack (5 coils on the aluminum coil pack "rack") works on one car, there is no reason why it shouldn't work on another car. Are you sure the wiring is good on these other coil packs? Are you remembering to connect the ground (earthing) wire(s) s well as the two power connectors and the POS connectors? <BING> < Thinks he has found the answer>:
You may have swapped the POS to coil pack connectors from the 4-5 group to the 1-2-3 group and vice versa. That would confuse the cr*p out of the ECU.

I have tried changing the coil pack connectors for 4-5 and 1-2-3 cylinders......still didnt fire. One of the coilpacks i tried had new wires to all the coils. And another of the coilpacks looked brand new and came from a low mileage S6. Those two coilpacks works perfect on other cars..........

Ill check up on that, but i cant understand what that has to do with my car NOT starting with other coilpacks. The wires in on the coils are cracked and brittled so i have the "typical" misfiring on high boost at certain rpms and so on......

Anyone have any tips for me what could be wrong ?? Do i need to unplug the battery to "zero" the ecu after i change the coilpack from another car ?? Or does the ecu "figure" out the firing order after a little while ?? Just a little brainstorming here..........im fed up with the misfiring
